Bought some Ethereum, worked fine

Needed to pick up some Ethereum for a project and decided to use LocalCoinSwap. It was pretty straightforward. Found a seller offering PayPal as a payment method, which was convenient. The trade went through without any issues, and the coins landed in my wallet pretty fast after the seller confirmed. Felt pretty safe with the escrow thing. All in all, a good experience.

Always reliable for P2P

I've used LocalCoinSwap a few times now, mainly for buying Bitcoin with a bank transfer. This last transaction was smooth, just like the others. Found a good offer quickly, and the escrow released the funds after I confirmed payment. It's consistent, which is why I keep coming back. No surprises, which is what you want with crypto.

USDT trade with a minor delay

I recently used LocalCoinSwap to buy some USDT. The ordering process was quite simple; I found a seller offering a decent rate using Wise. The platform's interface for initiating the trade was clear. Payment was sent quickly on my end. However, the seller took a bit longer than expected to confirm receipt and release the USDT, which held up the process for about an hour. The escrow protection was reassuring, knowing my funds were safe, but it still meant waiting. Eventually, the USDT arrived in my non-custodial wallet. Support wasn't needed this time, but I did check their FAQs about trade times, which mentioned potential delays. It worked out, just a little slower than my previous P2P experiences elsewhere.

Hey, thinking about trying LCS for some crypto. Is it legit for US users? Saw some platforms block us.

A Ashley Martinez 1 month ago
Yeah it's totally available in the US, I've been using it for a while now without any issues. No geo-blocking or anything like that.

I think so, my buddy in California uses it all the time. Seems to work fine there, haven't heard him complain about any restrictions specific to the US.

I wanna buy some ETH using PayPal, is that even an option on here? Or is it mostly bank transfers?

J Jason Smith 1 month ago
Definitely. There are tons of payment methods on LCS, including PayPal. Just gotta find a seller who accepts it.

Yep, PayPal's an option. I've used it before. They have like over 300 different ways to pay, so you're pretty set no matter how you wanna buy.

how do the referral codes work? do you just punch them in at checkout or is it during sign up?

M Megan P. 3 weeks ago
You gotta use the invite link when you first sign up. It applies the bonus then, not later on when you're actually trading.

Yeah, it's part of the account creation process. Like, you get a special link and it pre-fills stuff or just gives you the discount from the start. Can't add it after.

Is LocalCoinSwap better than Paxful? I've been using Paxful but always open to checking out alternatives.

J James M. 2 weeks ago
I actually prefer LCS because it's non-custodial, which means your crypto isn't held by them. Paxful isn't always like that.

For me, the non-custodial part is key. With LCS, your funds are more secure since they don't hold 'em for you. Plus, the fees might be better depending on the trade, but you'd have to compare for your specific needs.
